Frontier has its own managed Network Operations Centre (NOC) facility which runs 24/7. We monitor the performance of virtually every node in our network which ensures remote monitoring, configuration and troubleshooting of our client’s network and equipment **-** at all times.

We are looking for passionate, motivated individuals to join our team of System Administrators.

**What you’ll do**

At Frontier Networks, you will learn more about the latest technology advancements, including core networking and voice than at any other company in Canada. You will advance your knowledge while providing support, design and installation services to customers, partners, and internal users.

Customer support is important to us. We take every client, large and small, seriously. We have a sophisticated ticketing system and a Network Operations Centre (NOC). You would be a vital part of that team. Your day-to-day would require you to maintain and update our system infrastructure while also providing tier 3 support for VoIP, voice related escalations.

**What your role will be**
- Skilled in Linux server configuration, management, replication, and backup strategies
- Install, configure, and maintain server infrastructure to support business requirements and established service levels.
- Knowledge of voice technologies - SIP, H323, SCCP, RTP protocols
- Knowledge of systems architecture, high availability, configuration, and disaster recovery
- Configure and maintain core local and cloud services such as Exchange, data, licensing, and Linux servers
- Monitor ticketing system to response and troubleshoot internal and client escalations
- Availability for periodic evening/weekend systems changes, server maintenance and off-hours on-call support is required

**Your experience**
- Bachelor’s Degree in related IT field or additional years of related IT experience
- 3 - 5 years Linux Administration
- Experience managing hypervisors, specifically Xen or XenServer (XCP)
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills to escalate problems encountered
- Demonstrate working knowledge of basic service delivery best practices and principles
- Ability to efficiently manage outages and the corresponding incident management processes
- Shell (Perl and/or Python) scripting
- Experience with Asterisk (IP PBX) is a plus
- knowledge and experience with Pacemaker clusters for high availability is a plus
- Database administration experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Solid understanding of networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- On call
