Job description
**Principal Responsibilities**
- Create and submit purchase orders to suppliers
- Receive supplier invoices in our ERP
- Analyze purchasing trends and make recommendations to manager
- Conduct physical checks of inventory and rectify inventory discrepancies
- Reduce product shrinkage by ensuring products going out of date are well managed
- Ensure customer requested items are ordered and tracked
- Follow purchasing procedures and all applicable laws and regulations

- Advanced software skills (MS Office, MS Excel (pivot tables), database utilization (Microsoft Navision an asset, but not required)
- Outstanding organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, numbers, and analytics
- Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Keen learner to develop thorough product knowledge
- Exceptional communications and writing skills
- Good interpersonal, team, and collaborative skills
- Negotiation skills
**Education & Experience**
- Formal college or university education
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of purchasing experience
