**The Opportunity**
The Engineering department has an exciting opportunity for a term full-time Land Administrator to join our Asset Management, Land, and Integrated Infrastructure Services group.
As the Land Administrator, you will provide customer support in relation to land encroachment inquiries. In dealing with these inquiries the Land Administrator ensures that processes are in place to track, prioritize, and investigate inquiries; and facilitates a resolution that identifies the action required by the City and the property owner(s).
The Land Administrator is responsible for customer support, research and education initiatives, input into policy development, and administrative matters related to issues that arise through non-compliance or structures that have been constructed on City land.
The position will also review and approve land interest documentation, negotiate standard utility right of way agreements, process development agreements and crossing agreements, and process and track City leases and licenses.
**Qualifications**
- A diploma from a recognized Land Administration, Legal, Civil Engineering Technology, Engineering Design and Drafting Technology, or a related technology program, with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- Relevant professional certification, license or designation is preferred.
- Membership in professional organization pertaining to licenses or certification is preferred, (e.g., International Right-of-Way Association [IRWA]).
- Knowledge of Land Titles Act, relevant sections of the Municipal Government Act and applicable/comparable municipal bylaws
- Ability to read survey plans and utilize software tools such as SPIN, POSSE and ArcMap or other similar GIS software.
- A valid Class 5 Drivers License and a personal vehicle for work use is required.
**Hours of Work**
We offer a compressed work schedule of 72 hours bi-weekly (Monday - Friday, with a regular day off [RDO] every two weeks).
**Compensation**
$62,959 - $77,487 per annum. In addition, the City of St. Albert offers a comprehensive benefit package.
