address all those unique barriers in a society that is not designed for the most vulnerable. Our goal is to be creative and
innovative with our programs and services to help address these barriers and empower women to face their challenges with
knowledge, skills, and confidence.

**What’s the job?**

The Building Economic Self-Sufficiency (BESS) Program is currently seeking a **Housing Partnerships Coordinator** to
facilitate the Rent Subsidy Program (RSP) as well as our partnerships with several major housing providers.

This is not the average housing worker’s job. We partner with landlord and developers to provide unique affordable housing
opportunities essential for our clients living in the City of Toronto. Part of this role entails connecting with major housing
providers to develop new partnerships for affordable housing and implementing our unique Rent Subsidy Program.

To implement these unique housing programs, you will need to write reports that analyze the outcomes and reflect the
challenges and impacts of the programs. It is essential to have strong writing skills, and to know how to analyze the
outcomes and suggest strategies to address the challenges.

Additionally, recruiting and assessing the clients to match these programs is also imperative. You will have to work with

This job entails:

- Assisting clients in searching for and acquiring housing in the affordable, transitional, and private housing markets,
- Building and maintaining strong and productive partnerships with housing providers.
- Developing case plans to promote and support Interval House’s efforts to help clients build economic self-sufficiency.
- Providing ongoing support for clients that acquire housing such as tenant rights and responsibilities and advocacy.
- Facilitating positive tenant/landlord relationships.**
**Must Have**:

- Communication skills - written and verbal.***
- Interpersonal skills - comfortable interacting with corporate stakeholders, community agencies and clients.***

**Nice to Have**:

- Relevant post-secondary education in social services, humanities, or social studies.
- Knowledge and experience related to housing programs and services in Ontario.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Valid CPR/First Aid or a willingness to be trained.

- Handling administrative responsibilities.
- Client case management, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and Power Point.
- Analyzing data and preparing written reports, as well as verbal reporting.
- Risk identification and mitigation.
- Positive interpersonal relations.
