Are you a seasoned payroll and benefits professional looking to expand your skills and contribute to an HR department in exciting new ways? **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, adhering to company policies, collective agreements, and statutory requirements.
- Act as primary contact for employee payroll and benefit inquiries, government agencies, and third-party administrators, resolving issues with ADP and benefits providers.
- Partner with benefit broker, to provide updates to internal stakeholders on plan usage and opportunities for enhancements and resolving issues with escalations as needed.
- Manage payroll cycle planning, semi-monthly reconciliations, GL entries, cheque requisitions, and transfer of payroll information to accounting.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll and benefits data by maintaining and auditing employee records, managing system updates, overseeing process improvements, handling system interfaces, and troubleshooting any technical issues.
- Together with the ADP Payroll Team, ensure year-end activities, annual filings (including tax slips), audits and government reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time.
- Administer and maintain Workers’ Compensation accounts (WSIB, WCB, CSST), provincial health taxes, and premiums (EHT, HSF), ensuring accurate filings and updates.
- Process employee benefits, enrolments, terminations, and monthly premium billing for group benefits, savings plan, and pension plan.
- Coordinate pension plan administration, including transitions from active to retired member status, pension adjustments, and audits.
- Administer our Savings Plan by processing contributions, withdrawals, and managing annual audits.
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and other key partners for payroll, pension, and benefits administration, ensuring compliance with audits and reporting.
- Participate in various internal and external audits, ensuring timely responses to requests and maintaining comprehensive payroll and benefits records.
- Develop and maintain payroll and benefits policies, ensuring all related documentation is regularly updated and compliant with current regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with the HR team on various ad hoc projects, offering opportunities for diverse work experiences and career development beyond core payroll and benefits responsibilities.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
Must-haves (minimum requirements):

- 6 years’ experience managing payroll and benefits utilizing ADP Workforce Now (WFN) payroll and HRIS system.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, accounting, finance or equivalent education.
- Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) certification.
- Thorough knowledge of CRA, Revenue Quebec, Employment Standards, payroll tax regulations,
