**Community Resource Program Coordinator**

Independent Living Waterloo Region (ILWR) is a non-profit organization that provides support to people with disabilities by assisting and empowering them to eliminate barriers to independent living. Through a variety of programs, ILWR partners with people with disabilities to help them lead full, active, and independent lives while promoting accessibility and inclusion in our community.

Independent Living Waterloo Region is seeking a Community Resource Program
Coordinator who is passionate about fundraising and event planning. This position reports to the Manager of Independent Living Resources; working with team members and supporting ILWR to secure funding for the Community Resource Program (CRP).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Create a Fund Development strategy.
- Plan and implement fundraising events.
- Support existing fundraising events and activities.
- Promote and expand our Community Donations program.
- Provide support to existing peer-based activities.
- Represent ILWR in community engagements.
- Compile statistics and Key Performance Indicators.

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary education in a related field and/or employment experience in fundraising and event planning.
- Understanding of barriers and challenges faced by individuals who experience disability.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Zoom.
- Comfort in speaking with small and large groups.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team.

**Job Details**:
**Status**:Part-Time, Contract (completion approximately December 31, 2024), some remote/hybrid work available

**Hours**: 24 hours per week

**Ability to commute/relocate**:Kitchener, ON N2G 2B4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work, required access to reliable transportation for occasional community engagement within Waterloo Region.

**Starting Wage**: $20.75/Hour
