YOUR Legal Services is growing and is looking to add 2 talented and knowledgeable law clerks to our team.

While our office is based on St. Catharines, we do offer a flexible work place, allowing you to work remotely, within reason.

We are looking for individuals with experience in civil litigation, small claims, and landlord and tenant board matters. These individuals must have an ability to handle a medium to heavy case-load. Additionally, these individuals must have knowledge in drafting pleadings and letters, and assisting with case management. Interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate with clients is a must.

**Duties**:

- Assist in preparing legal documents, such as pleadings, briefs, contracts, and agreements
- Organize and maintain document management systems to ensure efficient retrieval and storage of files
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy and clarity
- Perform data entry tasks to update case information and maintain accurate records
- File documents with the court or other relevant entities as required
- Answer phone calls and handle inquiries with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and making travel arrangements
- Perform general clerical duties, such as photocopying, scanning, faxing, and filing

**Requirements**:

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
- Proficient in using document management systems and other legal software
- Ability to transcribe dictations accurately and efficiently
- Data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Strong administrative and clerical abilities

Note: Prior experience as a law clerk or in a similar role is preferred but not required.

**Salary**: $650.00-$750.00 per week
