**Job Summary**
- The Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME) Office manages over 50 Dalhousie University training programs with approximately 650 PGME trainees (residents/fellows) located at distributed sites throughout Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. Reporting to the Director in full collaboration with the Associate and Assistant Dean, Postgraduate Medical Education (PGME), the Accreditation Manager supports the Faculty of Medicine in pursuing its strategic goals by managing all aspects of PGME accreditation.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee all aspects of accreditation (internal review & external) of the Faculty of Medicine’s PGME institution standards and the standards of training for its 50+ postgraduate medicine residency training programs. Act as primary resource for faculty on all matters related to PGME accreditation.
- Advise, council and instruct faculty and clinical academic units on all aspects of accreditation, including the interpretation of accreditation standards.
- Work independently and within a team structure to administer the many detailed and complex tasks required of this position. Manage project timelines, negotiate requirements, and resolve issues as necessary.
- Oversees the creation of a schedule of hospital rotations for first year of postgraduate medicine residency training, the assignment of residents to services, and circulation of draft schedule to all programs and hospital services to ensure that both education and hospital criteria are met.

**Note**
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

**Required Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree (business, education, or health related discipline), plus five years’ experience in adult education (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Demonstrated knowledge of adult education principles, program design and evaluation.
- Project management experience.
- Must be highly motivated, able to work independently, exercise initiative, and multitask.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), organization, and decision-making skills.

**Assets**
- Experience with Accreditation Management Systems.
- Master’s degree.
- Experience in a University or health care setting.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodology and practice.
