**Job Summary**
- Dalhousie’s Information programs are unique in Atlantic Canada, providing innovative information training for students at all levels, focused on the management of information, people and technology. Reporting to the Program Director, the Program Manager will oversee the successful delivery of our Information Management graduate programs. They will work collaboratively with the Program Director to set and operationalize program goals and objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the academic programs including effective administration of university policy and procedure for program and curriculum management.
- Manage the student experience, with oversight on program specific admissions, orientation, advising and retention activities through to graduation.
- Manage practicums for students with host organizations; coordinating postings, interviews and work-integrated learning outcomes.
- Act as the primary program liaison with other university departments including the Faculty of Graduate Studies and the Registrar’s Office to ensure approval of documents and reports (including calendar/timetable entries, exam schedules, grades, graduation lists, etc.).
- Prepares program data to support Program accreditation. Engages with visiting Accreditation review committees.
- Ensure program sessional instructor hiring and other academic supports needs are met.

**Note**
- The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

**Required Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree, with five years’ related administrative experience working in post-secondary education (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Considerable experience in academic program management and academic advising.
- The ability to build positive working relationships with a wide variety of constituencies is essential.
- Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills.
