This position is integral to the success of the **Policy Development** team, and to CAAT’s guiding mission and growth strategy.

**We are looking for someone with**:

- A minimum of ten (10) years of total experience, with a minimum of five (5) years of total experience in any of the following disciplines: pension policy, policy development, pension communications.
- A College Diploma or University Degree, along with CEBS, PPAC, CBP, or post-grad degree/certificate preferred.
- Experience assessing risk and the impact of legislative and regulatory changes.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment who is able to effectively prioritize, escalate, and follow
- through on deliverables in accordance with deadlines.
- A demonstrated history of taking initiative and the ability to learn and collaborate on projects quickly in a poised and tactful manner.
- Ability to lead and develop policy recommendations and plan design initiatives from concept to implementation, balancing the needs of different stakeholder groups.
- Exceptional judgement and be thorough and logical in evaluating policy issues.
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to synthesize large amounts of complex information and communicate it simply to different audiences.
- A team-driven approach and ability to work collaboratively within the Policy, Legal and Public Affairs department and with internal and external partners.

**Once here you will**:

- Lead the process for planning, prioritizing, and coordinating work under identified workstreams to ensure the timely delivery of work. Work with other groups within Policy, Legal and Public Affairs department to ensure alignment and identify dependencies. Report regularly to leaders on the status of various deliverables.
- Put forward creative recommendations and options to solve challenging design questions that are in line with CAAT’s strategic vision and risk principles.
- Carry out research in order to review and respond to complex questions that require in-depth analysis and stakeholder consultations. Be inquisitive and seek to understand an issue in full.
- Support the development and review of resources, including communications, forms, tools, updates to the Plan Text, and other documents.
- Support other initiatives undertaken by the Pension Policy team, including technical reviews of communication and resource development.
- Support the organization’s strategic objectives and initiatives, and their adoption throughout the organization.
