**THE ROLE**
The Centre for Conflict Resolution and Ethics (CCRE) and HR Legislated Program Team is responsible for the oversight, administration and management of complaint and feedback mechanisms for rights-based complaints, including but not limited to Employment Equity and Accommodations, Official Languages, Workplace Harassment and Violence Prevention. The Centre also provides informal conflict management services and policy advice and training on organizational values and ethical behaviour.
The Centre for Conflict Resolution and Ethics and HR Legislated Programs Team is seeking one Conflict Management Advisor for a one-year assignment. **Applicants with experience as or working with management and senior leadership are encouraged to identify this experience in their resume and cover letters.**
**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED** Education, Certifications and Licenses**
Bachelor’s degree in Conflict Management and Resolution, Law, Industrial Relations, Political Science, Sociology, Human Resources, Psychology or a related field AND several years of experience in conflict/complaint resolution or a related field
AND
Qualified Mediator designation, an asset
Conflict Management certificate, an asset
**Experience**
In alternative dispute resolution techniques
In providing advice on policies and procedures
In preparing training programs
In conducting presentations
In preparing contracts, correspondence, and reports
In tracking and maintaining records
In budget administration
In office administration
In conducting workplace assessments, an asset
**Competencies, Skills and Abilities**
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

Bilingual Essential
Reading: Advanced
Writing: Functional
Oral: Advanced

- This is a remote position and the employee can be located anywhere in Canada. On-site or a hybrid arrangement is also possible depending on the employee’s preference. Remote work may be required depending on health and safety considerations.
