As a Supply Planning Manager on the Canada Supply Chain & Operations (SCO) team, you will lead a team and be responsible for the inventory strategy, managing forecasts, and inventory flows from supplier to distribution centers across Canada through the lens of improving service levels, productivity, efficiency, and profitability. This role serves to provide the most optimal service level to stores across all promotional and core items.
**As a Supply Planning Manager, you will**
- **Manage a Team**:
- You will set goals, lead, coach, and develop a diverse and inclusive team in ensuring all line fill metrics, operational targets, and inventory goals are achieved
- **Develop and drive the strategy** - Manage, influence, and guide inventory planning decisions and processes to ensure successful execution of promotional and core item activity
- **Be the Subject Matter Expert** - Work closely with stakeholders and cross functional teams on various projects where planning and inventory plays a key role
- **Build a culture of continuous improvement** - Continuously review opportunities in mitigating supply continuity and inventory risks, develop mitigation strategies with the team, and identify and drive continuous improvements across the supply chain
- **Be a role model** - in demonstrating and leading by example through our Starbucks Values of Craft, Courage, Results, Belonging, and Joy across your team, broader department and across functions
**We’d love to hear from people with**:
- Progressive experience in forecasting, planning, and supply chain management in a retail, consumer packaged goods, foodservice environment (6 years)
- Experience in planning utilizing inventory management processes and systems (6 years)
- Strong experience in team management including leading, motivating, and developing a team
- Proven track record of driving clarity of work, prioritization, and team development (5 years)
- Exceptional communication skills (Verbal and Written) with a natural ability to communicate effectively to leadership and across functions
- Degree in Supply Chain or related Business Field strongly preferred
