**The ROLE**

As a ROCK Payroll Coordinator, you'll be pivotal in ensuring the smooth electronic processing of payroll and benefits for our staff, while upholding both federal and provincial legal compliance and ROCK policies. You will oversee the entire payroll cycle through our Human Capital Management (HCM) system for both salaried and hourly employees. Your role includes managing payroll-related forms such as ROEs, T4s, and T5s, and ensuring the timely completion of monthly and year-end regulatory filings and taking on additional duties and projects as assigned.

You’ll be responsible for analyzing and reconciling group benefit plans and RSP contributions, and maintaining detailed payroll records for audit purposes in line with statutory requirements. Collaboration with HR on new hires, terminations, and remuneration will be part of your duties, alongside staying updated on compliance requirements and industry best practices while adhering to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and other agency policies.

In addition to managing day-to-day payroll system administration, you’ll ensure the consistent delivery of quality care and report any client safety incidents as needed. This full-time position will allow you to make a significant impact on the employee experience at ROCK.

**Who we’re looking for**:

- **Education**: Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business, or a related area. Membership with the Canadian Payroll Association is preferred.
- **Experience**: A minimum of three years’ experience working with Ceridian Dayforce is preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Understanding of Human Resources.
- Knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce Payroll System
- Strong knowledge of federal and provincial payroll legislation.
- Superior ability to work well with others and be an effective team member.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively and professionally communicate with both internal and external customers.
- **Additional requirements**:

- Proficient in the use of technology as required of the position, including working in a virtual environment with MAC OS operating systems experience preferred.
- Current (within three months) criminal reference check.
