**About the Opportunity**:
The OPOR At The Elbow Support Manager will oversee a diverse team of consultants and clinical staff supporting the frontline healthcare providers in the adoption of the CIS. The OPOR Program manager provides overall HR, structure/framework, project management support for the team, working groups, initiatives, and projects. This role supports healthcare professionals and staff across the province for IWK and NSH.
The ATE Manager of OPOR Program will also be responsible for interacting with internal and external stakeholders and professional teams managed by the Department of Health and Wellness (DHW) and Internal Services Department (ISD), providing NSH & IWK oversight throughout the OPOR Program.
The OPOR ATE Managers is responsible for to oversee and support the development of ATE standards to support the implementation of clinical information systems. The OPOR ATE Manager will oversees logístical and support process, design, and reviews activities across the organization to ensure maximum benefits and enhancements are achieved.
The ATE OPOR Manager will have direct site lead responsibility for Victoria General Hospital.
**About the Opportunity Continued**:
The OPOR At the Elbow Manager works largely independent and addresses issues and makes decisions of high complexity with little or no supervision and delivers clear communication and documentation of complex concepts and issues across the organizations. This includes:
- The ATE Manager works closely with project managers, implementation teams, and stakeholders to develop a comprehensive go-live plan. They coordinate activities, establish timelines, and allocate resources to ensure a successful launch.
- Oversees the identification, tracking, and resolution of issues encountered during the go-live process. They collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and users to troubleshoot problems, escalate critical issues, and ensure timely resolutions.
- Develops and implements communication plans, providing regular updates to stakeholders, end-users, and project teams. They also document processes, procedures, and issue resolutions for future reference.
**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Undergraduate degree in a health or technology related field. Consideration may be given to those with appropriate training and work experience.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ leadership experience (either formal or informal) within healthcare (clinical, clinical informatics, logistics, IT, Project Management etc.)
- Project Management and change management certification would be considered an asset.
- Strong clinical informatics experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the implementation of evidence-based practice in a clinical setting.
- Demonstrated leadership in clinical and policy change.
- Broad knowledge of the applicable standards of practice and guidelines for clinical practitioners.
- Demonstrates strategic, creative and strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Uses effective leadership, facilitation, communication and negotiation abilities to achieve consensus, resolve conflict, achieve desired outcomes and address potential barriers to success.
- Demonstrated ability to create and execute plans and ensure timelines are met while working with a variety of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Lean or related process improvement principles.
- Experience services in a complex health care organizational environment considered an asset.
- Proficient knowledge of healthcare industry required; familiarity with clinical and administrative hospital functions and departments preferred.
- Experience in leading teams of staff with indirect accountabilities to other operational units
