**SUMMARY**

The Sponsor Relations Coordinator is a vital member of our Marketing and Communications team. Under the direction of the Marketing and Communications Manager, this position is responsible for supporting Westerner Park’s Vision, Mission, and Strategic Development Plan aligning with sponsorship business goals. This position will help develop and maintain relationships with the organization's sponsors, along with helping to identify potential partnerships. This role will act as a key point of contact for the organization's sponsors and collaborate with its partners to identify opportunities and partnering strategies.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Under the direction of the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Sponsor Relations Coordinator is responsible for the following:
**Development and Strategy**
- Contributing to the development of the annual sponsorship plan and objectives for Westerner Park and our self-produced events, such as Westerner Days.
- Assisting in the successful delivery of the corporate sponsorship program and strategy.
- Contributing to the marketing, communications, and sponsorship department plan and the integration of sponsorship functions in all initiatives.
- Supporting the efforts and activities that align with the organization’s revenue goals and objectives to ensure sponsorship goals are met.
- Helping to analyze the effectiveness of targeted sponsorships; recommend and implement changes based on findings.

**Sponsor and Partner Relations**
- Acting as the go-to person for sponsors and partners, providing clear communication and support.
- Supporting the growth for existing relationships with sponsor groups, businesses, and individuals.
- Assist in identifying, developing, and nurturing new sponsorships to accomplish Westerner Park’s revenue and volume objectives and the sponsor’s awareness and engagement goals.
- Ensuring fulfillment and sponsor satisfaction with the recognition of their sponsorship and contributions.

**Corporate Communications**:

- Creating template material and elevating sponsorship presence and process for Westerner Park's sponsorship strategy, while ensuring streamlined messaging and fulfillment are being executed and are aligned with organizational goals.
- Preparing and reviewing written sponsor agreements, including accurate capture and organization of agreement details.
- Prepare presentations for potential sponsors.
- Work within the Marketing and Communications team to utilize resources to design recognition pieces and sponsor fulfillment packages.
- Liaise with Westerner Park business units to assess sponsorship needs, with a focus on self-produced events such as Westerner Days.
- Ensuring internal communication with employees and stakeholders reflects the Westerner Park sponsorship program and aligns with strategic objectives
- Supporting the creation of additional written communication for Westerner Park. This may include speaking notes, annual reports and other communication and sponsorship material as required.
- Preparing presentations, sales packages and collateral updates for employees, management, and the Board of Directors for sponsorship functions.

**Brand Leadership**:

- Consistent execution of the brand standards for the Westerner Park family of brands, across all sponsorship collateral and channels.
- Playing an active role in seeking opportunities to support the promotion of Westerner Park events in our communities.
- Cross-lateral training and backup support for other members of the Marketing Team.

**Administration and Execution**
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all interactions.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of an established and prospective sponsor contact list, ensuring accurate and up-to -date information.
- Develop and maintain effective organization and systems to support the sponsorship functions, including organization of sponsorship proposals and contracts.
- Coordinating day-to-day activities with internal and external stakeholders.
- Any other duties as deemed necessary.

**QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS**
- Post-Secondary Diploma or equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, or other related area of study is preferred.
- Experience in a customer service and/or sponsorship support role is an asset.
- Adept at working on multiple projects with high attention to detail in a deadline-oriented work environment.
- Skilled in building and maintaining lasting relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, including business units and business sponsors.
- Experience in writing and designing moderately complex correspondence, including contracts, letters, etc.
