Customer Service Advisor

**Job Overview**
Service Writers answer questions from customers and service providers. They use their expert knowledge to understand the client’s problems and explain their needs to staff for satisfactory service delivery. Service Writers also schedule appointments, process orders, monitor delivery and handle customer complaints. Their duties include working with computers and building and maintaining relationships.
**Responsibilities**
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Assist customers with product selection, ensuring they receive the best solutions for their needs.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to explain product features and benefits related to automotive repair and maintenance.
- Process transactions accurately, including cash handling and upselling additional products or services.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while ensuring all customer interactions are positive.
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and improve overall customer satisfaction.
- Stay informed about dealership promotions, products, and services to effectively communicate with customers.
- Schedule appointments, take orders, monitor service progress, calculate charges and process payments.
- Review customer accounts and report changes to internal staff.
- Manage complaints, returns and resolve customer grievances.
- Record customer details and transactions.
- Serve as a link between customers and different departments in the organization.
- Updating Customers Daily with regards to the progression of their unit in the Service Bays
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in customer service or sales is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge or experience in automotive repair is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Experience in cash handling and familiarity with point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Ability to upsell products while maintaining a focus on customer needs.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn new skills are essential.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; further education or certifications in automotive fields is advantageous.
- Computer skills are required as a key component to organizing and processing work orders
