**Our Team**:
Our Sudbury Operations have been in existence for more than 100 years. With five mines, a mill, a smelter, a refinery, and nearly 4,000 employees it is also one of the largest integrated mining complexes in the world. Sudbury is also home to several administrative sites serving both the Ontario Operations as well as all our North Atlantic Operations.

**The Opportunity**:
We are currently seeking a **Supervisor, External Resource Management** to join our **Strategic Business Projects department **in **Sudbury, Ontario**. This is a **permanent** position.

As a **Supervisor, External Resource Management** you will manage contracts and the associated cost routines within the near surface deposits portfolio.

Additionally, in this position you will:

- Work Monday to Friday 8 hours day shift.
- Understand the scope of the contract to ensure the contractor is performing the work as per the scope and according to the proposed budget.
- Review, validate, and sign off on Contractor Invoices that services have been received.
- Work with the contracting parties to ensure invoices are correct and audit contractors work to manage costs.
- Assist with Equipment/Material rentals associated with maintenance work.
- Develop scopes of work for plant-specific non-continuous contract requirements. Support the Contract Management Office during continuous service contract scope development, demand planning, and issue management of continuous service contracts.
- Understand and access plant budget and contract spending information. Understand business value regarding contracts and contract management at the plant.
- Manage contract disputes and escalate to department leadership when required.

**About You**

Education**:

- Grade 12 completed or GED equivalency with equivalent experience is required.
- College diploma in a related field is preferred.

**Experience**:

- A minimum of 7 years of experience is required.
- Previous experience in mining or an industrial setting is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in contract management is considered an asset.
- Understanding of managing budgets and reporting cost variances and forecasts.
- Commercial contract terms.
- Ability to translate technical and commercial terms into simplified language for stakeholder understanding.
- Establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
