Waste Reduction Group is looking for an experienced, passionate and solutions-based Dispatch Lead to extend dispatch support for our rapidly growing fleet. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this key Dispatch position is responsible for supporting our fleet through dispatch planning and communications, including the management of our fleet of drivers. With a growing business, there is opportunity for this position to evolve into a Dispatch Supervisory role. **Position Snapshot**

Over the past year, Waste Reduction Group has tripled the size of our in-house waste collection and hauling fleet. As we continue to invest within this space, we are looking to build a best-in-class operations team that over-delivers current service fulfillment, while scaling our operations for rapid growth. This Dispatch Lead role will report directly to the Operations Manager and be responsible for enhancing our daily dispatch and service. In addition, this person will work with our Operations Manager to optimize and manage truck schedules, enhance efficiencies in routes and costs, increase the amount of waste we divert from landfill, data reporting, and lead a dedicated team of drivers through our next stage of growth.

**Compensation**
- Full-time: ~44 hours/week, Tuesday-Saturday, 10a - 7p
- Wage Range: $28 - $32/hour based on experience and fit

**Key Duties**:

- Daily Dispatch routing and communications, reporting to the Operations Manager
- Lead dispatch by managing schedules, hours, routing and budget efficiencies for our service needs
- Daily driver management
- Backup driver to fill any unplanned driver absences or urgent service requirements, as required
- Collections and exception reporting
- Safety & Reporting - training, incidents, WSIB, etc...
- Management of preventative truck maintenance
- Work closely with management to deliver against operational priorities

**Qualifications**:

- 3-5+ years’ experience in a relative dispatch role within a trucking/fleet organization, preferably within the waste management industry
- DZ license required with ability to drive all trucks in our fleet
- Fluid understanding of various cloud-based software solutions for dispatch and communications
- Experience managing a team of drivers
- Experience working closely with management, office and field teams
