Senior Business Development Manager, Equipment Finance (Vendor & Direct)
Opportunity for an experienced Account Manager, with a proven background in new business development, relationship management, and credit underwriting within equipment financing and leasing, to join a leading and respected financial institution. As an experienced member of the team your main responsibilities will be achieving sales and growth targets by developing strong relationships with vendors and corporate clients, while ensuring compliance with the organization's policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and vendors across diversified industries (transportation, construction, agriculture and/or manufacturing
- Prospect to direct clients along with vendor programs to ensure a mutually beneficial agreement
- Understand clients and vendor's requirements and financial constraints to offer tailored financing solutions
- Analyze client needs and financial solutions to design financing agreements that meet their specific needs
- Assess the creditworthiness of clients and work with underwriters to evaluate financing applications
- Present credit proposals to internal credit committees for approval
- Stay abreast equipment finance and industry trends
- Be a mentor to team members in regards of structured financing
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of experience working in sales within the equipment finance and leasing industry, or related industry
- At least 5 years proven experience within structured financing & direct sales
- Deep understanding of the transportation, construction finance and/or manufacturing leasing industries within Canada
- Ability to develop sales strategies for an assigned segment focus
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Self-Starter, who is action-oriented, and client orientated
