Job Overview

We are looking for a junior English and Spanish-speaking qualified Business Development Coordinator to join our team, whose mission is to support Canadian companies grow internationally. Your key responsibility will reside in helping with administrative duties such as coordinating the required documents, following up with clients regarding any changes, as well as preparing letters of offers. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting the Business Development team manage and coordinate their efforts identifying, evaluation and building short and long-term revenue opportunities.


As a Business Development Coordinator, you will work to help the Elevate team satisfy customers’ needs and requests, respond to their queries in a timely manner and aspire to deliver a positive customer experience. You have excellent communication skills and are customer service oriented. Ultimately, you will be able to grow our business by building successful, long-term client relationships.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with the collection and distribution of administrative documents from clients as well as exporters
  • Ensure all required information has been received to process financing applications
  • Actively track the status of leads and follow up with potential clients, conducting follow up calls where appropriate
  • Assist on digital marketing initiatives and sales reporting
  • Assist senior members of the BD team in cultivating and closing transactions with prospective and existing clients
  • Act as the lead contact for all matters specific to enquiries that come into our pipeline


Screening Criteria

  • Undergraduate degree in business administration, finance, marketing, commerce, or another relevant discipline
  • 1-2 years of business development or customer facing experience in a finance, banking or international trade role
  • Knowledge of best practices in strategic sales or account management
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Superior phone, verbal, and written communication skills along with active listening
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively
  • Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types
  • High energy level


Assets

  • Knowledge of bank credit and lending practices
  • Knowledge of international business practices and international trade
  • Additional language skills: French, Portuguese


Location

  • Hybrid - On average 2 days at our office in Downtown Toronto
