* Process payroll for all employees, including new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, leave of absence, statutory holidays, deductions, Provincial and Federal taxes, garnishments, and handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
* Lead year-end payroll closing procedures, including reconciliations audit and balancing and filing all statuary required reports
* Ensure accurate, confidential and detailed administration and reporting by following regulations, collective agreements, and company policies and procedures.
* Manage employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks, and serve as the main point of contact. *What you will need to succeed at Burnac:*
At a minimum, you will need:
* A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
* Five (5) years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.
* Proficiency in using ADP workforce, benefits software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
* Strong knowledge of payroll and benefits regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
* Payroll designation is an asset.
