Cultural and Administrative Support Worker – Reaching HomeVancouver Aboriginal Health Society (VAHS) is a community-driven non-profit located in the Downtown Eastside. For more than 30 years, VAHS has offered culturally grounded, holistic programs that support the physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental wellness of Indigenous people living in Vancouver.About the RoleThe Cultural and Administrative Support Worker supports Indigenous families accessing the Reaching Home Indigenous Early Years (IEY) Program, which focuses on homelessness prevention and cultural wellness. This role helps connect families to resources, provides cultural engagement support, and assists with reporting and administrative needs alongside the IEY Reaching Home Outreach Worker.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport families through culturally relevant engagement (crafting, medicines, food preservation, ceremony)Provide advocacy, system navigation, and referrals to community servicesAssist with documentation, data tracking, and reporting needsSupport planning and delivery of IEY and Reaching Home programmingSchedule:Full-time (40 hrs/week), Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, with occasional evening programming⏳ Contract Ends March 31, 2026💼 Non-union | No benefitsQualifications & ExperienceConnection to your own Cultural Teachings and PracticesMinimum 2 years’ experience supporting Indigenous families in a cultural or support roleExperience or knowledge of homelessness prevention supportsStrong administrative, organizational, and communication skillsKnowledge of local Indigenous community resourcesDriver’s License and reliable vehicle are an assetVAHS encourages applicants with professional, community-based, educational, or lived experience to apply — even without all qualifications met.
