Reporting to the Site Manager, the Administrative Support IV is responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties/tasks to support the operations of the Consort Hospital & Care Centre and Consort/Coronation/Castor Home Care. This position plays a key role in helping to foster the team environment by facilitating communication between nursing, other departments, patients and families while providing a variety of clerical support duties. A large role of this position is the responsibility of staff scheduling for the Hospital Nursing Department.
As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Some post-secondary education.
High School Diploma required. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required. Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal is required. High degree of customer service, both in-person and on the phone/email, problem solving, conflict resolution, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills are required. Must have superior active listening and interpretative skills. Must have the ability to work independently with minimal direction and within a team environment. Must have demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail with a high level of accuracy. Must have superior ability to organize and prioritize. Must be flexible and able to meet the demands of deadlines. Must be able to purposefully work with colleagues, partners and clients to achieve shared goals.
Post-secondary education in a related fields is preferred. Staff scheduling experience in health care preferred. Proficiency with ESP for scheduling preferred.
