Director, Business Development

YOUR ROLE AS A DIRECTOR, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
The Director, Business Development is responsible for driving sales by contacting companies and potential customers to introduce all Leger solutions and services to develop new business opportunities. The position calls for an entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in a dynamic, fast paced environment and that has the drive to succeed – each and every day.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify new business opportunities
- Prospect new strategic accounts
- Cold calling and cold emailing; reaching out to potential clients
- Develop, negotiate and structure long-term relationships with clients
- Execute long and short-term sales plans to meet and exceed sales objectives as established by the Chief Growth Officer
- Strategize with the appropriate Leger team to respond to all proposal requests
- Develop and execute strategies to implement lead generation initiatives
- Help strategize for the purpose of writing responses to RFP
- Develop new presentations for important client meetings when content doesn’t exist
- Manage the entire sales cycle from prospective to closing a sale
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Requirements
- University degree or college diploma in Business Administration or related area of study
- At least 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in market research or solution sales
- Proven sales track record, including prospecting and closing skills
- New business development expert, with experience taking business opportunities from prospect to close
- Experience in market research, data, analytics, VoC services or online communities with a winning attitude and insatiable desire for success
- Expertise selling to senior level marketing professionals in industries such as Healthcare, CPG, Retail, Real Estate, Real Estate, Telecommunications
- Large network of professionals contacts
