A company within the Petroleum industry is seeking a Sales Manager. The Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing sales activities, developing and implementing sales strategies, conducting market research, and building relationships with clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Compiles business plans and oversees the implementation.
  2. Ensures all Business Plan volume targets and Business Plan KPIs are achieved.
  3. Monitors monthly performance and agreed action plans to ensure targets are achieved.
  4. Reports site progress and recommendations to the management team.
  5. Monitors and benchmarks external trends, including competitors, regulations, industry trends, structure, and new clients.
  6. Identifies new opportunities for business for The Group, which includes but is not limited to new commercial customers and new retail service stations.
  7. Monitors and regularly conducts field visits and research to establish competitor activity in the Group area.
  8. Scans the Group territory to identify potential new locations for new retail service stations, truck stops, or commercial installations.
  9. Networks within the industry to establish profitable and well-located service stations with limited/expired tenure to convert the site.
  10. Identifies, screens, and pursues new opportunities for business for the Group, which includes but is not limited to new commercial customers and new retail service stations within the region.
  11. Supports the marketing and branding activities, acting as a business ambassador.
  12. Manages and maintains relations with retailers and franchises in the network.
  13. Manages and cultivates existing relationships and expands recurring revenue streams.
  14. Collaborates with colleagues and service providers to drive the values of the business.

Requirements:

  1. Located in Northern Cape or willing to relocate to the region.
  2. The position involves intensive business travel within the Northern Cape region.
  3. Proven experience in Sales or Business Development.
  4. Knowledge of the Petroleum/Energy Sector and market trends is essential.
  5. Good understanding of the complete value chain from sales, financing, to operation & maintenance.
  6. Able to develop and implement sales strategies.
  7. Ability to identify and engage business stakeholders.
  8. Advanced communication and negotiation skills.
  9. High personal drive, independent work style, result-oriented, and open to changing environments.
  10. Proven analytical skills.
  11. Fluency in English and Afrikaans.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R30,000 - R40,000 per month
