p>Millards is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk with a minimum of two (2) years accounting/bookkeeping experience to join our team. The Accounting Clerk will support Accounts Payable, Billing and Accounts Receivables functions as well as assisting with ad-hoc accounting related duties.

Working Periods

  • 8-week contract (with opportunity for extension and increase in hours)
  • 2 days/week: Tuesdays & Thursdays (8:30am – 4:30 pm)
  • Flexibility to work additional hours/days if needed

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Bank Deposits
  • Data entry in various systems and data maintenance
  • Assist in year-end balancing and reconciliation
  • Filing and record keeping
  • Assisting with payroll processing
  • Various accounting related tasks, as required

Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge

  • Post-secondary education in business, accounting, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong MS Office skills including Excel are required
  • Experience with Sage 300 (AccPac) a definite asset
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes and propose solutions as needed.
