Full-Time DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

- Develop sales strategies, techniques, and tactics based on advice, customer feedback, and the market environment.
- Identify and engage opportunities to grow the business, offer value-added solutions, and increase product adoption.
- Coordinate closely with the Indigenous Relations team to further strategic initiatives within Indigenous communities and support the interests of Indigenous peoples.
- Assist in the development of the quarterly and annual forecasting for each product and service.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to ensure a broad reach of clientele for the diverse product line.
- Establish the metrics required to measure business performance and recommend go-forward strategy to address performance gaps.
- Develop short and long-term sales plans for the sales portfolio.
- Focus on utilizing the CRM tool to track activity, sales pipeline, and win/loss reports.
- Responsible for managing (along with the Director of Sales) the Strategic Account – Account Management process, including sales strategy, adherence to the HN Sales Methodology, and communication to the Executive Sponsors.
- Keep abreast of market trends and regulatory changes to allow Horizon North to properly respond to economic, technological, and industry changes.
- Represent and promote Horizon North throughout the industry and develop strategic relationships with governmental and regulatory decision makers.
- Provide weekly activity reports to management.
- Process necessary paperwork to initiate contracts.
- Investigate and pursue new business and new investment opportunities.
- University degree or technical diploma in commerce, business administration, engineering or related field is an asset.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in sales and/or business development.
- Previous sales experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably in the general oil and gas service sector and specifically in oilfields rentals or workforce accommodations is an asset.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be flexible to travel.
