We are seeking a VP, Finance & Administration to join our team at an exciting stage. Reporting into the CEO, you will be joining seasoned experts in a high growth Canadian private corporation with a growing North American presence. This is a permanent full-time, mixed office-and home-based position.

As the Vice-President/Senior Vice President, Finance & Administration, you will oversee several critical functional areas, including Finance, Human Resources, Facilities Management, Information & Technology Services, and Investor Relations. Your leadership will be instrumental in providing strategic direction, ensuring financial stewardship, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration across administrative departments.Financial Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s long-term goals.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections.
  • Ensure robust financial management systems and controls are in place.
  • Manage the company’s financial performance, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow management.
  • Oversee accounting, tax, and financial reporting functions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Business Partnering:
  • Partner with business units to drive financial performance and achieve growth targets.
  • Support project teams with financial insights and analysis to enhance decision-making.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, including market, operational, and credit risks.
  • Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the company’s assets are safeguarded through appropriate insurance and risk mitigation strategies.
Human Resources:

Oversee all HR processes including the HRIS, performance management, recruitment, talent retention, policies and compensation strategies, onboarding, and culture committee.

Investor Relations:
  • Manage relationships with investors, banks, and other financial stakeholders.
  • Lead fundraising efforts, including equity and debt financing, to support growth initiatives.
Digital Transformation:
  • Ensure the growth of our digital e-comm platform, while meeting regulatory requirements.
  • Drive the adoption of digital tools and technologies to enhance processes and reporting.
  • Leverage data analytics to improve financial decision-making and business insights.
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance & admin team, including Accounting, FP&A, Legal, HR, and IT.
  • Mentor and develop staff to ensure succession planning and talent retention.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • University degree in Business or Accounting.
  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience, with similar finance role.
SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
