**THE OPPORTUNITY**
As a VP of Product, you will shape the future of our hardware and software products. Reporting to the CEO, you will work cross-functionally across engineering, marketing, sales and manufacturing to develop and execute product strategies. You will be responsible for new and existing product planning and execution throughout the product life cycle.
To succeed in this role, you will be an experience Product Management leader who has both software and hardware experience. You will have firsthand experience in launching several products to market. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive innovation int he clean-tech space, deliver exceptional customer experience and make a significant impact on our growth as a company.
**WHAT YOU'LL DO**
- Develop and execute on a comprehensive product strategy aligned with both the company's vision, market trends, and customer needs
- Lead the end-to-end product development process, including ideation, conceptualization, design and product requirements
- Work cross-functionally across engineering, marketing, sales and manufacturing, ensuring seamless collaboration throughout the product life cycle
- Conduct in-depth needs assessments with customers as well as market research to identify emerging opportunities for product roadmap decisions
- Drive continuous innovation throughout the company by exploring new technologies, materials and manufacturing processes which enhance product performance
- Collaborate with finance, operations and sales in the pricing strategy, and to establish budgets and forecast our product costing to meet revenue and profitability goals
- Support the prototyping process, ensuring a proper quality assurance program is implemented and managing the CE Certification process
- Continuously engage with customers to gather feedback and incorporate their insight into the product development process to ensure that products address real-world needs
- Establish KPIs to measure product success and continually iterate based on customer feedback and product performance
- Stay up-to-date with emerging market trends and partnerships within the renewable energy space
**WHO YOU ARE
- 10+ years in a Senior Leadership position with exceptional strategic mindset
- Proven track record of successful product leadership in the clean tech or renewable energy space
- Experience with product development methodologies, such as agile and lean practices
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex product lifecycles in both software and hardware, having launched several products in the market
- Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Analytical and strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans
- Proven ability to make data-driven decisions and drive results
- Experience working in a high-growth scale-up environment
**WHERE YOU'LL WORK**
This is a role working out of our 3,000 SQ FT Production Space & Office in Vancouver, BC. Our office is located near the heart of the Broadway Tech Centre, close to many transit hubs. We have free parking on site, and room to store your bike.
**SALARY RANGE AND PERKS**
- Salary range: $180,000 - $230,000 per year
