Job Description:

Customer

• Accountable for Test Strategy deliverables, planning, test design/development, test case automation and test execution to achieve business outcomes for medium to high complexity scope.
• Integrate directly into a team’s continuous delivery process, augmenting the delivery of quality software and ensuring speed, agility, and risk management.
• Utilize advanced domain knowledge & ability to understand technical solutions to build an optimized Test Approach, inclusive of the tooling strategy.
• Effectively engineer and leverage virtual assets to support virtualization of any incomplete/unavailable code, service, database, etc.
• Have strong knowledge of test data management to reuse automated test data provisioning capabilities to be able to adopt a standard test data tool set.
• Lead deployment and implementation of tools/processes/resources and automation for functional and/or non-functional testing (performance, readiness/reliability testing (ORT), accessibility, security) approach, frameworks, and ensure automated tests are integrated into the continuous integration, delivery, and testing (CI/CD/CT) pipelines.
• Identify opportunities for test asset reusability and efficiencies in test approach.
• Proactively seek continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and responsible for developing, documenting, and proactively identifying end-to-end test solution designs and early automation opportunities within the testing process.
• Apply Coach and mentor others on the principles of behavior/Test Driven Development (BDD/TDD) and focus on value driven outcomes.

SDET (in addition to above)

• Provide advanced test development support.
• Accountable for test architecture activities.
• Sitting at the Product Group (PG) level, act as a quality expert working across numerous development teams in medium complexity deliveries.
• Act as an expert who can quickly troubleshoot and accountable for use of automation frameworks across numerous delivery teams as needed.
• Ensure quality of source code; looking for opportunities to effectively leverage tools and engineering practices (DevOps tools and processes, SV, monitoring tools and process, etc.).
• Accountable for early contributions to the design and development process to ensure built-in-quality code.

• Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to quality engineering activities.
• Ensure respective programs/policies/practices are well managed, meets business needs, complies with internal and external requirements, and aligns with business priorities.
• Collaboratively engage with relevant stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external, to shift from finding defects to proactively preventing defects.
• Actively seek and support continuous improvement and automation opportunities within the quality engineering practice.
• Conduct meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using data to draw conclusions, make recommendations, assess the effectiveness of programs/policies/practices.
• Conduct test assets reviews to ensure adherence to quality, standards compliance, reusability, and ease of maintenance.
• Monitor service, productivity and assess efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process/performance improvements where opportunities exist.
• Lead/facilitate and/or implement actions/remediation plans to address performance/risk/governance issues.
• Actively manage relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or control functions and ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements.
• Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate nonstandard, high-risk activities as necessary.
• Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts.
• Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.

• Provide thought leadership and/or industry knowledge for quality engineering best practices and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit.

• Participate in personal performance management and development activities, including cross training within own team.
• Keep others informed and up to date about the status/progress of projects and/or all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities.
• Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externally.

Breadth & Depth

• Experienced professional role with in-depth knowledge/expertise in testing planning, design, automation, and execution.
• Primary subject matter expert in own area, able to consult with stakeholders or cross-functional teams with respect to all aspects of quality software delivery.
• Hands on expertise understanding architecture blueprints and diagrams including logical data models and translate them into efficient test approaches.
• Expert knowledge of specific domain and quality engineering frameworks, technology, tools, processes, and procedures.
• Ability to drive and support delivery of quality solutions across pods or medium to high complexity/size scope across one product line/business.
• Deep experience applying in new/advanced techniques and approaches in testing and automation (e.g., BDD, Machine Learning, etc.) and ability to lead their implementation in the platform, project.

SDET (in addition to above)

• Advanced experience in software configuration code and release management.
• Advanced knowledge of test architecture frameworks, technology, tools, processes, and procedures.

Experience and/or Education

• BS degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline; li>
• 7-9 years of relevant experience in managing large teams, driving innovation in test automation and strategies.
• Manage and oversee multiple regulatory projects in Azure Cloud and Databricks domain.
• Highly skilled in defining overall test automation architecture, scale existing automation frameworks.
• Identify opportunities to enhance testing processes, methodologies, and adopting of enterprise solutions to improve overall efficiency.
• Working closely with Product Groups and partners to align test efforts into projects plans through scaled agile methodology.
• Exposure to test automation using CLIs, Rest APIs, Core Java/Python, Cucumber, SQL, Azure Databricks.

• Lead the development of automated test scripts for functional, regression and early performance testing.
• Conduct regular reviews of test scripts and automation codebase to ensure adherence to architecture guidelines/codebase.
• Working closely with Product Groups and partners to align test efforts into projects plans through scaled agile methodology. li>
• Lead, oversee and manage QE deliverables for regulatory projects and provide status reporting to senior/executive of the bank.
