The Director of Corporate Planning plays a critical role in driving organizational success by leading the development and execution of corporate strategies, managing enterprise risks, and optimizing performance. The position facilitates transformation by aligning business planning with strategic objectives and ensuring successful change management across the organization and alignment to our long-term vision. p>

Strategic Formulation & Implementation:

  • Lead the development and implementation of OntarioMD's Strategic Plan, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and long-term objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Management Team to develop the strategy, establish KPIs, and operationalize the corporate strategy through annual goals, business plans, and CEO communications.
  • Oversee the business planning process, ensuring strategic goals are translated into actionable plans.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to refine strategies and respond proactively to industry trends.

Enterprise Risk & Performance Management:

  • Manage Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) by identifying potential risks, implementing mitigating strategies, and proactively addressing organizational threats.
  • Lead the development of corporate performance reporting tools, including real-time tracking systems and detailed KPI analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare corporate performance reports, including Ontario Health reports and Board-level reporting.
  • Ensure corporate performance metrics align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Corporate Enablement:

  • Lead organizational change management, ensuring the buy-in and adoption of key process improvements across people, processes, and technology.
  • Lead policy informed initiatives and support evaluation and research aligned to corporate strategy.
  • Act as the business lead for corporate assets such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, the corporate portal and SharePoint, ensuring optimal utilization and integration with corporate goals.
  • Provide thought leadership and lead opportunities on emerging trends in digital health, change management, process improvement, and organizational transformation.

Project Management Office (PMO):

  • Oversee to ensure that the Corporate PMO office successfully delivers multi team/corporate level strategic projects on time, within scope and on budget.
  • Implement best practices in project management to ensure projects contribute to overall performance improvement and strategic alignment.

Stakeholder & Opportunity Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders and partners to support OntarioMD’s interests and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and manage opportunity pipelines, ensuring new revenue streams align with strategic priorities.

Leadership & People Management:

  • Lead and manage the Corporate Planning team, fostering a strong, collaborative environment focused on delivering organizational objectives.
  • Create talent development pathways, including succession planning and knowledge sharing to enhance team performance.
  • Provide mentorship, performance management, and development opportunities to team members, encouraging a high-performing and motivated team.

Requirements that are important to us:

  • Master's Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline is an asset.
  • Quality Improvement and/or Change Management certification or education would be an asset – i.e. li>
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in team management, corporate planning, strategy development, performance management, and change management, ideally within the healthcare sector, electronic marketplace or a consulting firm.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale change initiatives and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
  • In-depth knowledge of strategy development, risk management, change management, and business transformation methodologies.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
