Brief description of the position :

In order to grow its market share and serve its clientele in the Medical Devices segment, FOP CONSULTANTS is currently looking for a business development manager motivated to achieve its objectives. Passionate about the medical devices segment, the main missions would be to approach potential clients for service proposals, identify the real needs of clients in his market segment in terms of resources and projects, propose strategies for service offerings, learn about the market to detect opportunities and threats, acquire and manage teams of consultants, meet and exceed objectives and if necessary, manage budgets.

Main responsibilities:

Without limitation, the main tasks involve:

  • Prospect the firm's services to potential clients and be the main point of contact;
  • Identify the real needs of the clients, propose tailor-made solutions and make calls for tender;
  • Design and implement market development strategies and monitor KPIs;
  • Identify the strengths and weaknesses of the organization as well as the opportunities and threats in its market segment and make proposals to maintain a competitive advantage;
  • Develop a technical expertise of his segment and be a key support;
  • Acquire and lead the teams of consultants under his responsibility;
  • Follow up on consultant projects with clients and intervene when necessary;
  • Meet and exceed objectives and maintain a cordial relationship with clients;
  • Participate in weekly and monthly meetings to present results and needs;
  • Perform all other tasks related to his mandate.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration (BA, MBA), Commerce or Marketing;
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or science (an asset);
  • 1 (one) to 10 (ten) years of industry experience, preferably in the agri – food sector;
  • Experience in a business development, marketing or sales position (an asset);
  • Experience in managing a multidisciplinary team (an asset);
  • Experience in developing a strategic plan to achieve objectives;
  • Experience in developing a strategic plan to achieve objectives; Available to travel to meet with clients;
  • Project management (an asset);
  • Proven knowledge of ISO 13485 regulation;
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, MS Project (an asset);
  • Good writing skills in French and English;
  • Perfect bilingualism (an asset);
  • Valid class 5 driver's license (an asset);
  • Mobility (an asset).
