Ideal candidates will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving abilities and demonstrate the capacity to effectively manage internal and external relationships, dealing directly with clients and approval authorities throughout Ontario.Managing and delivering municipal projects including report and proposal writing, business development, client liaison, and project management Monitoring and managing overall workload and staffing levels within the department Working with Leaders and other Managers to support inter-office collaboration and resource/work sharing to balance workloads and meet project delivery objectives Being accountable for the overall financial and operational performance of the department under your direction Being responsible for overall resource management, including recruitment, staff development, performance management, and salary review process Collaborating with other disciplines at EnVision with respect to multi-disciplinary projects Travel to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, as needed Degree in Engineering with 10 + years of consulting and/or municipal experience At least 5 years of managing and mentoring technical staff Municipal Engineering design and construction experience is essential with specific experience related to water, sanitary, and stormwater projects Proven success in client relationship management and strong leadership skills Comfortable interacting with public agencies, clients, contractors, and co-workers A valid G license and access to a vehicle to travel to and from sites (mileage to sites compensated), including valid and appropriate vehicle insurance Positive work environment and culture, including social events and training sessions covering a wide variety of topics for the entire team Flexible work arrangements and schedules
