Position Summary
The VP Finance for Pong Game Studios and affiliated companies will report to the CEO to provide consulting and strategic support to the executive team as well as hands-on execution of key processes. This position supports all financial responsibilities for Pong Studios including strategic financial planning and analysis, analyzing monthly close results, monitoring and analyzing performance KPIs, new business opportunities, and other projects as requested. This function will support the finance team and optimal business decision making. This position will lead a team of three, responsible for collections, accounts payable, cash management, and data analytics. Actions frequently influence the work of other team members, other teams, and management decisions.As VP Finance, you embrace automation to streamline mundane tasks and devote time and resources to higher value, strategic activities. li>Own the continuous management of cash flows, banking relationships, and structures, including support for customer collections, supplier payables, foreign exchange, and investment opportunities.Provide leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.Ensure the credibility of the Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts.Understand software license fee models, revenue share pricing structures, and ideally gaming technology.Gather data and interpret market conditions; li>Support implementation plans, meeting milestones, action and delivery dates; li>Analyze exponentially greater volumes of data.Embrace the power of social media, mobile users, and cloud computing.Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory actions.Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions.Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, consolidation, and reporting to the Company.Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with applicable federal, provincial, and municipal regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.5+ years in progressively responsible leadership roles in financial planning & analysis or accounting including at least 3 years of management experience.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required and CMA designation preferred.Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc. li>Superior analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to succinctly interpret data for executives and frame business issues in a straightforward manner.Experience with general accounting principles and procedures (GAAP), financial forecasting techniques, extracting appropriate financial elements from business deals/contracts, and compiling and presenting financial reports, spreadsheets, and database applications.Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills.Outstanding communication, influencing, and relationship-building aptitude.Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile.Monitor all open legal issues involving the company and legal issues affecting the industry.Construct and monitor reliable control systems.Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.Job Type: Full-time Dental care
