Business Development Manager: Warehouse

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at Fastfrate Group. This key role will be responsible for the management of our operating buildings that provide warehouse solutions, transloading, and special projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing warehouse operations, developing and implementing sales strategies, and working closely with the VP of Operations and Sales team.



Responsibilities:


  • Develop and manage Fastfrate Group warehouses from a commercial standpoint, ensuring maximum profitability and efficiency.
  • Deliver targeted results, including maximizing bottom-line profitability by creating synergies and optimizing warehouse operations.
  • Develop and implement lead sourcing strategies to attract new customers and drive business growth.
  • Work closely with the pricing group to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
  • Benchmark industry best practices to drive a competitive value proposition and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, sales teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead the implementation of supply chain and warehouse solutions for customer onboarding.
  • Ensure all warehouses operate at maximum capacity and meet customer expectations.
  • Hit budget expectations and drive business growth.


Requirements:


  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements, and identifying sales prospects for further development and closure.
  • Close sales and achieve quarterly quotas, and work closely with the sales team to drive business growth.
  • Research accounts, identify key players, and generate interest, and maintain and expand your database of prospects.
  • Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals, and perform effective online demos to prospects.
  • Work with all departments during the onboarding of secured business, and perform other duties as assigned by the VP of Sales.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and WMS, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategies aimed at growth expectations, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • MUST have experience in supply/demand and competitive landscape, and strong negotiation skills.
