At LG, innovation is the foundation of everything we do. We make products and services that make lives better, easier, and happier through increased functionality and fun. Put simply, we make “Life Good” – from home appliances, consumer electronics and vehicle components to business innovations in digital signage, air conditioning and solar.
LG Electronics is seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to drive the sales growth of our innovative Emerging Product lines, including Massage Chairs, StanbyME, CineBeam Q, Air Purifiers, and Styler. This role will focus on sales execution, ensuring that LG's products are successfully marketed and sold through key retail channels, dealers, and distributors.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in furniture, consumer electronics, or home appliance sales, as well as a deep understanding of customer needs within these industries. This position will require a proven ability to increase sales, open new dealers, and expand market presence through strategic planning, product knowledge, and effective relationship-building.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively manage and grow key accounts, including furniture retailers, home electronics dealers, and wellness product distributors.
- Develop and implement specific sales plans to achieve or exceed sales targets for each product line (Massage Chairs, StanbyME, CineBeam Q, Air Purifiers, Styler). Open new dealers in the **premium furniture** sector, expanding the reach of LG’s products in high-end retail locations and showrooms.
- Negotiate pricing, promotional strategies, and contract terms with customers to maximize revenue and profitability.
Customer Relationship Building:
- Cultivate strong relationships with new and existing retail partners, ensuring LG products are prominently featured and supported in stores.
- Conduct regular customer visits to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues related to products, sales, or delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day sales activities, inquiries, and product support.
Sales Strategy & Market Expansion:
- Implement sales strategies tailored to each product category within the Emerging Sales portfolio, with a focus on driving market share.
- Identify new sales opportunities, both in existing and emerging markets, to increase distribution and sales volume for LG’s products.
- Conduct competitor analysis to understand market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Product Knowledge & Training:
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of LG’s product offerings, including technical specifications, benefits, and competitive advantages.
- Provide training to key accounts and sales channels on product features and selling points to ensure effective product promotion.
- Work closely with the marketing team to create promotional materials, sales collateral, and product campaigns.
- Track and report on sales performance, analyzing results to adjust sales tactics as needed.
- Provide regular updates to management on progress against sales targets, and market feedback.
- Forecast product demand and coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure optimal inventory levels and timely product delivery.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Experience:
- Minimum 5-10 years of sales experience, preferably within the furniture, consumer electronics, home appliances, or related industries.
- Proven ability to successfully manage key accounts, develop sales strategies, and achieve revenue growth in competitive markets.
- Experience opening new accounts or dealers, particularly within the premium furniture sector, is a strong asset.
- Experience with retail and B2B sales, as well as an understanding of the consumer purchasing process.
- Strong sales skills with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving product adoption in a highly competitive market.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to identify and capitalize on new sales opportunities and expand LG’s market presence.
Product Knowledge:
- Familiarity with wellness products (e.g., massage chairs) or home electronics is preferred, but an eagerness to learn about LG’s product portfolio is key.
- Comfortable discussing technical specifications and benefits with customers and stakeholders.
Technical Proficiency:
- Experience using CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and other sales-related software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and other productivity tools.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
Other:
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and support sales activities.
