Job Description and Responsibilities

EVRAZ North America is seeking a Labour Relations Business Partner, Alberta to join our dynamic team. As a leader in the steel manufacturing industry, we produce top-quality steel products for rail, energy, and industrial markets throughout North America. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in fostering positive labour relations and ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations. p>

As a Labour Relations Business Partner, you will work closely with various stakeholders at our Alberta facilities, including HR manager, operational and union leaders, to build strong relationships and drive positive change. li>

Conduct investigations into employee complaints or allegations of unfair labor practices, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws. Provide training and education programs to management and employees on labor relations topics, promoting understanding and adherence to labor laws and regulations.

Requirements

  1. 3 + years of Labour Relations work experience required, preferably within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
  2. 3+ years of experience administering a range of Labour Relations activities an asset including: collective agreement administration, grievance and issue management, collective bargaining, union/management relations, performance management and conflict resolution processes.
  3. Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, organizational development, management or a related field required, supplemented by a specialized program or courses in labor relations or equivalent.
  4. You must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with employees, union representatives, and senior leaders.
