We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager – East (Ontario). This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong business relationships with all accounts in their territory, as well as representing our clients in a professional and courteous manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong representation for all clients' products and meet sales projections and targets.
  • Build rapport at both the store and head office levels.
  • Liaise with specific clients and major head office retail accounts.
  • Make store visits to new and existing retailers.
  • Provide store-level support for new product launches and initiatives.
  • Manage retail distributors, pre-sell feature activity, and track featured activity.
  • Manage shelf space and product location.
  • Participate in various distributor and food-related trade shows.
  • Evaluate and execute business plans and targets to increase brand distribution.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of product features and benefits.
  • Manage key independent retailer volumes and yearly promotional plans.
  • Expand the key customer base.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with a strong command of the English language.
  • Thorough knowledge of retail distribution and the supplier network.
  • Superior understanding of marketing and product merchandising concepts.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills, both in the boardroom and virtually.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • 5+ years of experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
