The Manager, Compensation will participate in overseeing many of the organization's compensation programs, including the annual compensation process, job evaluation, market analysis, and ad hoc projects. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining compensation strategies that align with the company's objectives, ensuring competitive and equitable pay practices, and supporting overall business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Annual Compensation Process
- Lead the planning, configuration and execution of the annual compensation review process.
- Partner with the HR technology team to prepare the compensation planning technology (SuccessFactors) for leaders to make salary and incentive recommendations.
- Work with the HR technology team to ensure the integrity of the employee data utilized during compensation planning.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners, and other members of the HR team to assist Leaders in making appropriate compensation decisions for their teams.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation.
- Job Evaluation
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive job evaluation system to ensure roles are accurately assessed and classified.
- Conduct job analyses and evaluations to determine appropriate salary grades and ranges.
- Leverage data to prepare and analyze reporting related to the job evaluation program.
- Market Analysis
- Conduct regular market analysis to assess the competitiveness of the company's compensation programs.
- Benchmark compensation practices against industry standards and provide recommendations for adjustments.
- Stay informed on market trends and economic factors affecting compensation and benefits.
- Ad Hoc Projects
- Lead and participate in special projects related to compensation, such as the development of new compensation structures, incentive programs, or benefits analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address specific organizational needs and challenges.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation management or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills, advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and HRIS systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Knowledge of compensation laws and regulations, as well as current market trends.
