Cambrian Credit Union is seeking a Vice-President, Retail/Digital Sales & Service to lead our member facing teams across our Retail and Digital branches.

As a critical member of the Senior Management team, the Vice-President, Retail/Digital Sales & Service provides operational leadership, enterprise sales management and tactical business planning over all of Cambrian’s Sales & Service channels including Retail Branches, Digital Sales & Service and Small Business Accounts.

Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, the Vice-President, Retail/Digital Sales & Service has a mandate of growing lending, deposits, core banking and other revenue through strong, consistent member service, core sales practices and the integration of evolving digital tools, marketing strategies, and business intelligence. The Vice-President, Retail/Digital Sales & Service is responsible for the successful support and implementation of Cambrian’s strategic priorities across Retail & Digital Banking Operations.

In the role of Vice-President, Retail/Digital Sales & Service, you will:

  • Lead the fulfillment of all member services, sales and revenue generation via the Retail and Digital banking operations.
  • Drive growth in all core retail and digital banking products and services as measured through operational sales, other revenue generation, net portfolio growth and assigned internal sales referral targets to wealth, small business and commercial banking services.
  • Foster a results-oriented culture, with a focus on maximizing performance at all levels, through ongoing coaching, mentorship, leadership development and sales management activities.
  • Provide ongoing business planning and sales forecasting across all of Cambrian's retail banking products and services.
  • Be responsible for the key strategic partnerships with CUMIS and Collabria maximizing Cambrian’s performance within these core insurance and credit card services, managed in partnership with the Director, Sales Enablement.
  • Work in close collaboration with Marketing & Brand Experience, Wealth & Advisory Services, Business Services & Syndication, and Digital Experience & Innovation to establish a cohesive operational environment that supports growth and service excellence across all of Cambrian’s core products, services and channels.
  • Work closely with Credit Adjudication and Centralized Administrative Services to ensure optimum delivery is maintained between the branches, credit adjudication and loan processing.
  • Work closely with Human Resources in maintaining the optimum sales delivery structure, recruiting of all staffing and establishing appropriate performance management techniques that drive superior productivity.
  • Ensure all Retail & Digital practices and procedures meet compliance requirements, with established operating standards, policies and procedures.
  • Explore new market and distribution opportunities that align to strategy and lead to profitably expanding the reach of Cambrian’s retail products and services.

Your Education & Experience:

  • 7-10 years of progressive sales leadership and demonstrated sales management success within retail banking.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, and/or achievement of a recognized professional industry designation considered a strong asset.
  • At the Vice-President level, it is expected the incumbent will possess a deep knowledge in the following competencies:
