Director, National Electronic Sales - Canada


The Director, National Electronic Sales role is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth in the electronics access control market across Canada in all channels (Wholesale, Integrator, PAC) through program and sales execution. Specific duties include developing and leading relationships and key initiatives support/execution with all direct channels and indirect influencing channels (IT Professionals, Division 28 Security Consultants). Develop sales and communication strategies to address market needs and create new opportunities while increasing customer loyalty and brand awareness. Ensure focus, national execution, and serve as a catalyst to the regional sales teams. The position will report directly to the Regional Vice President of Sales, Commercial and will develop and support the overall electronics strategy to channel; focused on the combined activities/program execution driven by the regional sales leadership.


What You Will Do:
  1. Lead and execute revenue and pricing goals for electronics products growth. Manage profitability of brands while maximizing sales through controlled pricing.
  2. Utilize sales and management experience to mentor, coach and develop a geographically dispersed sales team with a focus on developing a pipeline of talent as successors for key positions.
  3. Develop and manage sales strategies with the sales leadership team to align with the Long Range Plan (LRP). Drive the sales revenue plan, managing costs and overall sales budget to meet financial goals. Provides comprehensive reports to Senior Leadership as required.
  4. In collaboration with regional sales teams and leadership, ensure sales team support for process and tools as they build a robust opportunity pipeline to generate, pursue and track sales opportunities.
  5. Maintain excellent industry knowledge by gathering market data of competitive activity. Adapt to changes in marketplace. Effectively communicate market dynamics and technology changes to the regional sales teams and leadership with recommendations of how to take advantage of the changes or avoid share setbacks.
  6. Develop and evolve channel strategy. Maintain and develop relationships with top tier channel partners.
  7. Drive share growth in strategic areas of focus including mechanical, electronic security and credential management.
  8. Actively participate with VP/GMs, Product Managers and Marketing by providing localized input for new products, product enhancements and the development of selling and pricing strategies that drive top line margin expansion.
  9. Lead significant, broadly scoped, cross-functional special initiatives and projects as required.
  10. Lead sales relationships with PACS in Canada in combination with Americas Partners.
  11. Identify in country PACS partners for future integration opportunities for total electro-mechanical portfolio.
  12. Set action plan for sales coverage in combination with regional sales leadership for security access control channels.
  13. Develop strong working relationships and provide support with targeted direct accounts to achieve revenue and growth goals.
  14. Develop business plans at targeted accounts.
  15. Provide regular feedback to Regional Sales Management on channel activities to achieve revenue and growth plans.
  16. Understand the business and market dynamics that drive access control channel. Be aware of competition influence and performance.

What You Need to Succeed:
  1. Minimum 8-10 Years Sales Leadership Experience, Security Access Control Electronics Experience a plus.
  2. BS/BA – Business, Sales, or related; MBA preferred.
  3. Strong Communication skills - verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  4. Ability to work with and influence a variety of indirect and direct accounts.
  5. Self-motivator and entrepreneurial mindset.
  6. Able to work at building a business. Small scale to larger scale builds up.
  7. Ability to think strategically and problem solve with entrepreneurial commitment to achieving goals.
  8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to execute on business plans.
  9. Collaborator with both customer and internal cross functional teams.
  10. Customer-centric with the ability to balance both customer benefits and business financials effectively.
  11. Industry sales or marketing experience associated with security channel is desired.
  12. Sales Execution: Align regions with key targets and metrics that align with LRP/AOP; ensures team projects are cohesive and promotes a positive corporate image; maintains atmosphere of trust throughout sale. Assists team with implementation and customer care in important and challenging situations.
  13. Solutions Selling: Maintains in-depth knowledge of market, industry, and competitive environment. Builds team with strong solutions-selling focus.
  14. Opportunity Development; Account/ Channel Management: Builds and delivers strategic business plans for territory. Supports sales team with implementation of growth strategies. Employs effective territory management techniques that drive results.
  15. Systems and Tools: Utilizes CRM and other tools to drive business results.
  16. Business Acumen: Understands overall business strategy; is able to keep abreast of changing external conditions to anticipate and fulfill needs of customers and stakeholders.
  17. Leadership/Development: Champions diversity and finds opportunities to leverage individual differences and strengths across the sector. Promotes movement of talent across the enterprise. Recognized as a role model and coaches others in the process.

  22. Ability to travel 50-75% including Canada & US. Valid passport required.
