About the Role:

Talis Group's client is a leading private label food and beverage company with over 100 years of experience supplying to large chain and privately held retailers. We are seeking a highly skilled National Sales Manager to join their dynamic and growing sales team in Canada.

As a National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, strengthening existing customer relationships, and increasing market share. This role will be the sole Account Manager for Walmart – Canada and will require you to develop and execute strategies to grow the customer base and develop new relationships in the private label industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with key accounts to drive sales growth and market share expansion.
  • Pursue new business leads to grow the customer base and develop new relationships in the private label industry.
  • Create and deliver tailored presentations and bids to prospective clients to position our products as solutions that meet their unique needs.
  • Manage all aspects of account operations, including pricing and promotional communications, to ensure timely and accurate order processing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop custom products and special projects for clients, ensuring quality and satisfaction.
  • Travel as necessary to trade shows, seminars, and customer meetings to foster and maintain key relationships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent.
  • Proven sales expertise in the private label food and beverage industry.
  • Must have National account management experience with Walmart.
  • Must be fluent in English and French.
  • 10+ years of experience in new business development and managing high-profile accounts.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence key decision-makers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SAP experience is a plus.
  • A proactive, self-motivated individual who can work independently or as part of a team.
  • Collaborative and personable approach, with excellent business acumen and leadership skills.

This is a fully remote position, however, you must live or be willing to relocate within commutable distance of Toronto, Canada. The position offers a base salary in the $135-$155k range, plus excellent bonuses and profit sharing, with full benefits and relocation package.
