- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets, expand market share and revenue growth.
- Identify new business opportunities, explore new and emerging markets, pursue new client acquisition opportunities within target verticals and partnerships to enhance growth.
- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of sales representatives, fostering a collaborative and high-achieving sales culture.
- Set team performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and recognize outstanding achievements.
- Set quarterly and annual sales goals aligning with company objectives
- Forecast sales targets and monitor performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Manage the sales pipeline, track lead generation and conversion rates, and ensure consistent pipeline growth.
- Develop and refine the sales playbook and supporting materials, continuously improving sales processes.
- Conduct market analysis, identify competitive trends, and develop effective strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, Customer Success, Finance and Operations to align sales efforts with overall company objectives.
- Provide insights on customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities to inform product development and marketing strategies
- Partner with Finance to establish pricing models and proposals
- Use CRM tools and analytics to optimize sales processes and improve efficiency
- Represent VoPay at industry events and thought leadership forums.
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related or technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in a sales leadership role, leading a commissioned sales team, with a proven track record of success in SaaS sales and business development. Experience in a growth or scale-up firm is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, mentorship and continuous feedback to drive results.
- Strong understanding of the fintech and payment industry landscape is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with customers and partners.
- A self-driven, results-oriented mindset with a passion for exceeding targets.
- Proficiency with CRM tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
- North American sales experience in Canada and United States
- Experience selling Fintech and/or SaaS solutions that require technical integration with third-party software/platforms is an asset.
- A valid passport with no travel restrictions for occasional travel both domestic and international, approximately 25%.
