We are looking for a Department Manager, Equipment and Building Maintenance, reporting to the Manufacturing/Maintenance Manager, Valcourt Operations, to lead the teams that carry out BRP’s equipment and building maintenance work in Valcourt.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  1. Lead a team of general supervisors and maintenance planning team leaders who are responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and buildings at various Valcourt sites, and the non-stock warehouse management team.
  2. Make forecasts and achieve established budget targets.
  3. Coach and develop your team in line with best practice and sound management of building and grounds equipment.
  4. Work in partnership with various department heads at different sites, including Production, Industrial Engineering, the Research & Development centre, Electric Vehicles and other sites.
  5. Establish a long-term strategic vision by adapting maintenance services to the reality of a constantly evolving business.
  6. Monitor performance indicators and update the scorecard.
  7. Ensure the execution of planned work by working closely with the supervisory and planning team.
  8. Draw up and/or facilitate equipment durability plans for buildings and grounds.
  9. Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards and obligations.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in industrial engineering or industrial maintenance technology or equivalent. Any other combination of relevant training and experience will also be considered.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in maintenance management.
  3. An excellent communicator and team player who has good influencing skills.
  4. The ability to delegate and develop your team.
  5. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in line with a partnership approach (Human Resources/Labour Relations Committee/Management).
  6. Knowledge of Word, Excel, SAP and Guide Ti.
  7. Good knowledge of plant and building maintenance.
  8. The ability to communicate fluently in French and English, both verbally and in writing.
