Job Summary

Beaver Transportation Inc. is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy trucks, including troubleshooting and diagnosing faults, ordering parts, and adjusting equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
  • Order parts and maintain inventory
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Verify and repair emission control systems
  • Perform other routine maintenance

Work Environment
Our work site environment is physically demanding, with dusty and noisy conditions. You will be required to work with heavy equipment and handle heavy loads.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong attention to detail and be able to work independently. You will be required to have excellent oral communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
