Equipment Maintenance Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Mechanic to join our team at Canadian Tire Corporation. As an Industrial Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment and machinery, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery, following established procedures and guidelines.
- Conduct troubleshooting and analysis to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Work on site, traveling to various locations as required, to perform maintenance and repairs.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure that equipment is properly maintained.
- Train and mentor junior technicians in maintenance and repair techniques.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in maintenance and repair.
Qualifications
- Ontario Certificate of Qualification #433A or equivalent.
- Ability to work at heights up to 100 feet.
- Ability to stand for long periods, with occasional bending, stooping, and crouching, and frequent heavy lifting (up to 50 lb).
- Fabrication experience and ability to weld in all positions.
- Demonstrated skills and experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and material handling equipment.
Assets
- Certificate of Apprenticeship (Ontario or Canadian equivalent).
- Experience with automated conveyor systems, Beumer Sorter systems, Tire Gantry, and Rite Hite Dock door System.
- Health and Safety experience, including safety committee experience.
- Strong skills using MS Office (Excel, Word) or AutoCAD.
