The Brand Strategy, Planning & Compliance Lead will support the Brand team with a combination of brand intelligence, governance and application support.
You'll be responsible for - Insights & Planning:
- Developing MarComm research, analysis and insights.
- Driving efficient data-driven target setting, research, analysis & insights visualization.
- Managing an agile & integrated planning cycle for MarComm that connects with corporate strategy with continuous planning, learning and iterating on marketing and communication plans.
- Monitoring performance measures & KPIs for market activation, addressing deviations as needed, and continuously enhancing brand support for business objectives & ensuring value/ROI.
- Collecting high-quality data from reliable sources (internal databases, external suppliers, credible market reports, data, surveys, sentiment, etc.) that align with research & analysis objectives.
- Applying appropriate techniques to uncover relevant patterns, trends, relationships, & synthesize key findings into succinct, concise, engaging and actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.
- Extracting insights & partner with Interac Strategy Team to recommend strategies for decision-making & strategic planning.
You'll be responsible for - Interac Masterbrand:
- Building, maintaining and evolving strong Interac brand at enterprise level.
- Managing and maintaining brand budgets in consultation with brand and finance teams.
- Supporting Interac Comms Team to deliver enterprise initiatives like Corporate Year In Review (CYIR).
- Collaborating with the Interac Legal Team, managing brand governance and implementation to ensure brand protection, including Trademark Licensing process, new & updated brand policies and regulations.
- Building or evolving enterprise brand platform extensions in CSR and building brand community presence and guidelines to profile the brand.
- Partnering with CSR, HR and MarComm teams on the iteration and implementation of community & employer brand initiatives aligned to the Interac culture, values, and brand.
- Supporting the brand identity evolution by leading the implementation of any brand changes internally and externally.
- Managing enterprise brand architecture, ensuring the brand nomenclature is followed consistently across the organization and naming of new products and features are developed and effectively integrated into the Interac brand architecture.
- Maintaining strong governance internally to adhere to brand guidelines and assets.
- Developing and deploying brand playbooks for FI and other partners to ensure brand compliance and secure brand profile building opportunities.
- Leading brand initiatives from brief development to execution and measurement to fulfill various departmental needs and deliver upon corporate and product strategies.
- Working within product squads as needed to build and develop the brand, market positioning, and consult on brand and brand marketing strategies for existing and emerging products.
- Being the subject matter expert on brand positioning and voice of the brand, guide all stakeholders to meet the Masterbrand and product guidelines.
- Ensuring alignment and integration to Masterbrand strategy, brand architecture and overall brand platform for all brand communication by leveraging brand resource center, POS center, FI and partner roadshows and sales enablement assets.
You bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in brand strategy & planning or research, analysis and data analytics in a full-time capacity.
- Proven experience in strategic thinking and a bias for action.
- A results-oriented approach to work and a “can-do” attitude.
- Ability to work across functions and team in a fast-paced business environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong influencing skills especially with senior stakeholders.
- Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
