Our client, a Canadian owned manufacturing company, is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Territory Sales Representative to join their growing sales team. Bryce Delegarde of Lock Search Group has been tasked to find the next member of their Sales Team. Our client offers their customers the ability to outsource manufacturing of high-quality custom parts and assemblies.
The successful Territory Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new customer relationships and winning new business within the Manitoba & Saskatchewan markets. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing the candidate will enjoy a high degree of autonomy and trust in their day-to-day activities aimed at delivering on-target performance. For the right sales professional the sky is the limit with this fast-growing organization. Responsibilities:
- Identify, qualify, and prioritize potential customers through various channels
- Send introductory emails, make prospecting calls, and generate appointments – to be successful you must enjoy hunting down and closing new business.
- Conduct initial visits with potential clients, presenting your offering to customer contacts in the target industries such as Purchasing Managers, Operations Managers, or General Management.
- Provide excellent customer experience through all stages of sales cycle.
- Understand customer needs for custom metal parts, collecting samples and specifications for engineering colleagues to evaluate and produce quotations.
- Present quotes to customers and secure purchase orders – with the technical knowledge of engineers to support.
- Maintain regular visits with acquired customers to defend existing business and generate additional business – organic growth.
- Organize your schedule, appointments, calls, reminders, and contact files efficiently.
- Maintain healthy communication with the company management team and other internal stakeholders, provide weekly activity reports, utilize the company CRM
- Develop and propose sales strategies to meet or exceed your sales targets.
- Ensure professional service before and after sales to maintain customer satisfaction and position the company for future growth.
Qualifications:
- 5 Years of Sales Experience within and industrial setting preferably in manufacturing, machinery, equipment, or metal products.
- Knowledge or interest in engineering, the ability to read 3D drawings, and a curiosity for metals and metallurgical processes.
- Strong team player with exceptional interpersonal and presentation abilities.
- Orientation towards understanding and solving customer needs.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to manage activities independently.
- Proficiency in common tools (MS Office, CRM, Google, ).
- Awareness of personal and company reputation.
- Valid driver's license, and access to use own vehicle for business purposes (expense reimbursement program exists).
- Willingness to travel overnight a few days per month
