Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) position at Passport Health, providing travel counseling, vaccinations, and health advice to travelers.

As a Registered Practical Nurse/Immunization Nurse, you will meet with clients one-on-one to provide travel health advice and vaccinations, reviewing each client's medical history and discussing Centre for Disease Control & Prevention requirements and/or recommendations for safe travel to countries such as Kenya, India, Peru, Thailand and more.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide immunizations and travel health counseling in a safe and effective manner.
  • Offer friendly, efficient, and safe service to patients and clients.
  • Participate in company training to ensure up-to-date knowledge of travel medicine and vaccination.
  • Adhere to safety protocols as set by the company's medical directives and regulations.
  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Practice appropriate storage and handling of vaccines.
  • Accept and organize delivered packages and inventory.
  • Carry and organize clinic supplies.
  • Ensure the clinic and storage room are clean and well organized.
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Management Team to train new staff.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Previous experience working in travel medicine is an asset.
  • Ability to follow medical directives to safely administer vaccines and dispense medications.
  • Registered Practical Nurse certification with current license in good standing.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • First Aid/CPR certified.
  • Superior interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to communicate effectively with corporate clients.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and self-directed environment.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks without detailed supervision.
  • Flexible and able to communicate using a mobile device.
  • Ability to speak French.
Working Conditions
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Intermittent physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, lifting and supporting patients.
  • Must be available to work Monday - Saturday hours/week (8 hour shifts).
  • Comfortable working autonomously in clinic during working hours.
