About the Role: As a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), you will provide nursing care to patients according to scope of practice and in accordance with Bruyère policies, procedures, and standards. You will communicate effectively with patients, their loved ones, colleagues, and other health discipline members.
Key Responsibilities: • Deliver safe, effective, patient-centered nursing care to patients • Communicate effectively with patients, their loved ones, colleagues, and other health discipline members • Work collaboratively as a member of the interdisciplinary team • Provide education and support to patients and their families • Participate in quality improvement initiatives • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care • Participate in professional development and learning opportunities • Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment
Requirements: • Successful completion of RPN medication administration course or equivalent • Valid certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Level C certificate • Membership in Registered Practical Nurses' Association of Ontario (RPNAO) (preferred) • Fluency in French and English (preferred)
